Hard Girls by Martina Cole

Hard Girls
by Martina Cole

This book consists of 600 pages!!! 600 uninteresting pages about prostitute been killed! One prostitute get killed is painful enough, in fact, 10 prostitutes has been killed is really painful enough to be read. With the additional of a very long and boring investigation, the story doesn't have any climax. I find it dull, long and makes you feel old.

I've survived until page 513 but still, the story doesn't have any clue, findings, climax or ready to "roll the curtain down" feeling.

It's very tired, dissapointing and boring!!! I've never read anything so boring in my entire life. Nancy Drew is way better than this!!!

Eating Myself by Candida Crewe

Eating Myself by Candida Crewe is really eating me up because this book is bored to death!
Most of us, within us has issues about food and Candida is among them. Telling her story about her connection with her food issues and her life story is a really really long story. I've stopped until the page of 80 and I'm giving it up!
One thing for sure, everyone of us is quite shy of eating a large amount of food especially in the buffet or gathering with friends because we fear that they judge us by saying us "We really have a huge appetite"
According to Candida, there's a gender bias from the society. A girl who eats a lot judge as a "huge appetite" and she is fat where it leads to food issues and unhealthy diet wheareas a guy doing the same thing is not the same as judging for the girls. A guy that consumes a lot judging as a normal.
There are a few scientifc words like "sugar", "metabolism" and "calories" and the science behind the result of body starvation and the "body eating itself" as a result from the prolonged period of starvation/malnutrition!
Whatever it is reader, I had enough! I'm going to find another book to read. I have raise a white flag..lol
